Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This page is maintained by BeautyMenu Australia to explain how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where relevant, the GDPR.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you give us when you create an account, set up a Professional profile, make a booking or contact support — including your name, email, phone number, business details, service menu, profile images and payment metadata. We also collect basic usage data such as device, browser and pages visited.

2. How We Use It

We use your information to operate the Platform, process bookings and payments, send transactional notifications by email and SMS, prevent fraud, improve our services, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the Platform: with Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS notifications, our hosting and database providers, and with the Professional or customer involved in a booking. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Storage & Security

Data is stored on secure infrastructure with encryption in transit. Access is restricted by row-level security and authenticated APIs. Sensitive identifiers, such as Stripe account IDs, are kept in private tables that are not exposed to the public Platform.

5. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

6. Your Rights

You can access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing privacy@beautymenu.com.au. If you are in the EU/UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Australia you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage.

8. Children

The Platform is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via the Platform.

10. Contact

For any privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@beautymenu.com.au.
